This Bokmål example removes introductory padding and keeps the closing time. Nynorsk input needs its own consistent wording.

Choose Bokmål or Nynorsk before the revision
Norwegian has two official written standards, Bokmål and Nynorsk. Keep the one used in the draft. A general request for more natural Norwegian does not specify a switch between them, and a mixture can make an otherwise clear notice inconsistent. State the intended standard in a follow-up when the original contains mixed forms or quotations.
The example on this page is Bokmål. It demonstrates how a deadline can stand without a formal introduction. A Nynorsk draft should receive its own wording and review; the example is not a parallel translation or a claim that both versions have been tested. Preserve official names even when their form differs from the surrounding prose.
Make the action clear without adding pressure
A brief notice often works well when it starts with what changes or when something closes. Retain a reason when the reader needs it to respond. If an application deadline moved because a system was unavailable, the explanation may prevent confusion with an earlier message. Shortening should not erase that context. Also compare the strength of requests: an invitation to send comments is different from an instruction requiring a response. Keep that distinction even when a more forceful sentence would be shorter.
Check compounds and names in the final document
Preserve compounds that name one concept, and check official department names against the source. Do not split a word merely to make the line look lighter. Retain æ, ø and å in names and ordinary vocabulary. If you use English interface labels in instructions, copy their spelling accurately so readers can find the same control.
A focused follow-up could ask to keep Bokmål, put the changed registration date first, and preserve the explanation for the change. For Nynorsk, name that standard explicitly instead. Compare every time, place and document reference with the original before copying the result. Finally, read the paragraph beside its neighbors for a consistent register and repeated information. A Norwegian reviewer familiar with the intended standard can check final usage, particularly when a public organization has its own terminology or writing conventions.
Start with the Norwegian you want to keep
Paste a complete Norwegian paragraph into the editor. A sentence taken out of context can leave a pronoun, tone choice or reference unclear. Include enough surrounding text to show who is speaking and what the reader needs to do. You can also import a plain TXT or Markdown file; formatting from a PDF or word processor is not imported.
The page is written in English, but your draft stays in its original language by default. Visiting this page does not translate the whole website or turn an English draft into Norwegian. If your text deliberately combines languages, make that choice explicit in a follow-up and check that borrowed words still belong in the result.
Use one precise follow-up
After reading the first result, identify the part that still needs work. For this page, a useful instruction is: “Keep the original Norwegian written variety. Make the notice more direct and preserve the exact deadline.” This gives the revision a concrete target and tells it which details must survive. A broad request to make everything “more human” gives you less control over the change.
Your next rewrite uses the current working text. You can edit that text yourself before asking for a new version. Signed-in writers can save a manual version for free, then request a follow-up. Each successful model revision costs one credit; editing the words directly does not.
Judge the result against the source
Read the Norwegian result aloud when you can. Check where a sentence pauses and whether its level of formality fits the recipient. Then compare the original facts separately. Smooth wording can still change a deadline, remove a qualification or make a tentative claim sound certain.
Keep names, numbers, quotations and citations beside the original while reviewing. For specialist material, ask someone who understands the subject and language to check the final draft. The example on this page illustrates an editorial choice; it is not a live model benchmark or a promise that every rewrite will make the same change.
Keep control of the working version
The editor places your original beside the result on a wide screen and stacks them on a phone. Use See changes to inspect the revision, or edit the result directly. Copy the finished text or download it as TXT or Markdown. A download contains the text you see, including your manual changes.
Signed-in writers can return to saved articles and their versions. A follow-up starts from the working text, so review any manual changes before submitting it. Your saved history stays available even when your credits run out or a subscription ends, until you choose to delete the article.
What a rewrite costs
A successful rewrite costs one credit. A successful follow-up also costs one. Typing, importing, reviewing, copying and downloading do not use credits. When a request is accepted, one credit is reserved; it is settled after the finished result is saved. A confirmed failure releases the reservation. An uncertain result stays pending while it is checked.
An anonymous visitor has one successful trial. First login grants five permanent credits. Beginning on the next UTC day, the first visit each day grants one credit that expires at midnight UTC. Missed daily gifts are not added later. Anonymous results are kept for up to 24 hours after completion; signing in can attach the result to your account.
The free limit is 1,000 units per request. Basic supports 5,000 and Pro supports 10,000; a remaining paid credit pack without a subscription supports 5,000. The same limit applies to the current text in a follow-up. The editor counts words and CJK characters using the same rule as the server. Check the displayed count before submitting. Compare plans and credit rules.
Readability is the goal
AI Humanize uses writing guidance based on the open-source blader/humanizer project. It asks a language model to remove unhelpful writing patterns while preserving the message. A readable result still needs your judgment: the tool does not verify facts, certify authorship or guarantee an AI-detector outcome.
