Keep the warmth that belongs in the Italian message
A courteous Italian email may need a greeting and a short acknowledgment before its request. Keep them when they establish a useful relationship; shorten them when they repeat what the reader already knows. The aim is a message that sounds appropriate from this sender to this recipient. A bare instruction can be less suitable than a complete request even when it uses fewer words.
Decide whether the draft uses tu or Lei and retain the matching forms throughout. A request to sound more approachable does not give enough information to change that relationship. Review the opening and closing with the body, especially if you revise only one paragraph.
Replace bureaucratic setup with a concrete action
The example moves directly to the closing of registrations. Apply that edit when an introductory formula adds no condition, reason or responsibility. For a longer notice, identify the main verb and the person who needs to act. If the draft contains several abstract nouns, see whether one clear verb can express the same event. Keep the official name of a procedure when readers need it to find a form or understand an instruction. Shortening the explanation should not rename the procedure itself.
Recheck references after the subject disappears
Italian can leave a subject unstated when context makes it clear. A rewrite that removes the preceding sentence can also remove that context. If a paragraph mentions an applicant and an office, check which one will send, receive or approve the document. Repeat a name or role when needed. The added word can be more useful than a slightly shorter sentence.
Review gender and number agreement around changed nouns, and preserve accents and apostrophes. For a follow-up, try: Keep Lei, retain the registration deadline, and replace the formal opening with a direct but courteous statement. Then inspect every expression of certainty. A planned response must not become a confirmed approval, and a request for availability must not become a booked appointment. For publication, read the revision in its full document so headings, quotations and related paragraphs still fit the same voice.
Start with the Italian you want to keep
Paste a complete Italian paragraph into the editor. A sentence taken out of context can leave a pronoun, tone choice or reference unclear. Include enough surrounding text to show who is speaking and what the reader needs to do. You can also import a plain TXT or Markdown file; formatting from a PDF or word processor is not imported.
The page is written in English, but your draft stays in its original language by default. Visiting this page does not translate the whole website or turn an English draft into Italian. If your text deliberately combines languages, make that choice explicit in a follow-up and check that borrowed words still belong in the result.
Use one precise follow-up
After reading the first result, identify the part that still needs work. For this page, a useful instruction is: “Make this Italian notice concise and courteous. Preserve the deadline and the existing form of address.” This gives the revision a concrete target and tells it which details must survive. A broad request to make everything “more human” gives you less control over the change.
Your next rewrite uses the current working text. You can edit that text yourself before asking for a new version. Signed-in writers can save a manual version for free, then request a follow-up. Each successful model revision costs one credit; editing the words directly does not.
Judge the result against the source
Read the Italian result aloud when you can. Check where a sentence pauses and whether its level of formality fits the recipient. Then compare the original facts separately. Smooth wording can still change a deadline, remove a qualification or make a tentative claim sound certain.
Keep names, numbers, quotations and citations beside the original while reviewing. For specialist material, ask someone who understands the subject and language to check the final draft. The example on this page illustrates an editorial choice; it is not a live model benchmark or a promise that every rewrite will make the same change.
Keep control of the working version
The editor places your original beside the result on a wide screen and stacks them on a phone. Use See changes to inspect the revision, or edit the result directly. Copy the finished text or download it as TXT or Markdown. A download contains the text you see, including your manual changes.
Signed-in writers can return to saved articles and their versions. A follow-up starts from the working text, so review any manual changes before submitting it. Your saved history stays available even when your credits run out or a subscription ends, until you choose to delete the article.
What a rewrite costs
A successful rewrite costs one credit. A successful follow-up also costs one. Typing, importing, reviewing, copying and downloading do not use credits. When a request is accepted, one credit is reserved; it is settled after the finished result is saved. A confirmed failure releases the reservation. An uncertain result stays pending while it is checked.
An anonymous visitor has one successful trial. First login grants five permanent credits. Beginning on the next UTC day, the first visit each day grants one credit that expires at midnight UTC. Missed daily gifts are not added later. Anonymous results are kept for up to 24 hours after completion; signing in can attach the result to your account.
The free limit is 1,000 units per request. Basic supports 5,000 and Pro supports 10,000; a remaining paid credit pack without a subscription supports 5,000. The same limit applies to the current text in a follow-up. The editor counts words and CJK characters using the same rule as the server. Check the displayed count before submitting. Compare plans and credit rules.
Readability is the goal
AI Humanize uses writing guidance based on the open-source blader/humanizer project. It asks a language model to remove unhelpful writing patterns while preserving the message. A readable result still needs your judgment: the tool does not verify facts, certify authorship or guarantee an AI-detector outcome.
